Your gift to The Linsly School makes a profound impact on our students, faculty, staff, and facilities. Every gift makes a difference, regardless of the amount. The Linsly School is a 501(c)(3) organization and your gift may be deductible as allowed by law.

Cash Gifts

Gifts by check should be made payable to “The Linsly School” and mailed directly to:

Securities

Gifts of appreciated securities can provide significant tax savings for the donor with regard to capital-gains taxes. To make a gift of a stock or mutual fund, please call the Development Office at (304) 234-4602 for information about the stock transfer process.  

Matching Gifts

Your employer may have a matching gifts program for contributions to the Linsly School. Matching gifts from your employer can double or triple the size of your gift. Contact your Human Resources department to determine if your contribution to Linsly qualifies for a matching gift.  

Gifts in Kind 

The Linsly School is occasionally the recipient of donated items. These donations are reviewed on a case-by-case basis to ensure they meet a viable school need. If you have an item to donate to The Linsly School, please contact the Development Office at 304-234-4602.

Planned Gifts: The Linsly Lamp Society

The Linsly Lamp Society honors those loyal donors who have made provisions in their estate plans to provide for the ongoing success of The Linsly School. Planned giving can help you achieve a multitude of financial and personal goals and, whether you are motivated by tax savings, financial planning or simply a desire to give back, a gift to The Linsly School ensures that we will continue to honor Noah Linsly’s directive of “Forward and No Retreat.”

Planned giving can take many forms, including, but not limited to:

  • Bequests

  • Beneficiary designations (retirement plan, life insurance, annuity, etc.)

  • Private foundations

  • Real estate transfers and reserved life estates

  • Split interest (charitable lead and charitable remainder) trusts

  • Scholarships
