Every week, adults on duty plan the weekend schedule based on availability, events in the area, and requests from boarding students.

A Typical Weekend Looks Like This:

    • Depart for the movie theater at The Ohio Valley Mall at 6:30 for shopping or a movie 
    • Lights out at 12 AM

    • 11 AM - 1 PM - Weight room is available for exercise 
    • 11 AM - Depart for Kennywood Amusement Park in Pittsburgh, PA 
    • Dinner and games at Kennywood

    • 9 PM - Pizza and snacks in the Student Center for those still on campus 
    • Lights out at 12 AM

The Surrounding Area

Wheeling Area
Linsly is located in Wheeling, WV along the Ohio River at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. It has a population of 150,000 people and is the home to a minor league hockey team. Our students frequently are involved in activities in the area, whether it be volunteering at the Children's Museum, attending athletic events, hiking through Oglebay Park, or enjoying dinner at one of the many local restaurants. You can find plenty to do here.

Pittsburgh Area
Linsly is located just 50 miles away from the "City of Bridges", Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Pittsburgh is the home to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Pirates, and the Pittsburgh Penguins. It is home to over 300,000 people and consists of major malls, markets, athletic events, shows, and restaurants. Our students spend time in Pittsburgh when our schedules allow it doing a variety of different activities, including attending professional baseball games, visiting museums, walking the Strip District, or going to Kennywood Park. You can find plenty to do here.
