Senior Selected as Candidate in Presidential Scholars Program

Congratulations to senior Brooklynn Wayt, who has been named as a candidate in the 2024 United States Presidential Scholars Program.

Candidacy in the Presidential Scholars Program is based on Brooklynn’'s outstanding performance on the ACT Assessment or the College Board SAT, or nomination by your Chief State School Officer or one of their partner recognition organizations.

Of the nearly 3.6 million high school seniors graduating this year, Brooklynn is one of approximately 5,000 students to receive this invitation. After an extensive application process, semi-finalists will be named in April and scholars will be named in May.

The Presidential Scholars Program was established in 1964 by Executive Order of the President and recognizes the accomplishments of some of our nation’s most distinguished graduating seniors. Students are selected for leadership and service to school and community and they demonstrate exceptional scholarship, visual, creative, and performing arts talent. Up to 161 Presidential Scholars are chosen annually. This is a tremendous honor for Brooklynn and Linsly!
