Happy Holidays from Our Family to Yours
Mr. Justin Zimmerman presents his annual holiday message and sends glad tidings to all.
Dear Linsly Community,
With the holiday season upon us, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to each member of our Linsly family—parents, students, faculty, trustees, and alumni. Your unwavering support and commitment to our school make all we accomplish together possible.
As we prepare for exam week and look ahead to a well-deserved winter break, it is also a time to reflect on the many successes of our first semester. We proudly celebrated the many achievements of our students, including National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists, Literature Fair Winners, Speech Tournament winners, and Voices of Democracy Essay contest winners, among other outstanding accomplishments. We cheered on our fall sports teams for their remarkable dedication and teamwork, resulting in All-Stars, many personal and team accomplishments, and seniors signing to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level.
This semester, we once again came together as a community for Giving Tuesday, demonstrating the incredible generosity and commitment of The Linsly School family. From parents to alumni, students to faculty, your contributions made a meaningful impact and underscored the power of giving back. Thank you!
Our Upper and Middle School plays and Winter Concert this year were remarkable. They showcased our students' and faculty's creativity, collaboration, and dedication. The Upper and Middle School plays brought laughter and inspiration to all who attended, while the Winter Concert filled the Stifel Field House with joy and the beauty of music, reminding us of the unique talents that thrive within our school.
As a community, we have also embraced this season of giving by helping others through initiatives such as the National Junior Honor Society canned food drive, the lacrosse team’s Operation Toy Lift, the prefect’s Angel Tree for Crittenton Services, Project PB&J to benefit the Winter Freeze Shelter, and other meaningful acts of service. These moments of kindness and generosity reflect the season's true spirit and our school's character.
This time of year celebrates diverse traditions and shared values. Our globally diverse community, representing students and families worldwide, enriches our school in countless ways. Whether lighting candles, exchanging gifts, or gathering with loved ones, the holiday season reminds us of the joy of connection, compassion, and gratitude.
Our school theme, Forward Together, perfectly captures the spirit of our school. It reminds us that our collective strength and shared commitment propel us toward new horizons of learning, leadership, and community. As we gather with family and friends this holiday season, may we carry this spirit of togetherness into the new year.
I wish you a holiday season filled with peace, joy, and cherished moments with those you hold dear. Thank you for being an integral part of our Linsly community, and I look forward to all we will accomplish together in the coming year.
Warmest regards,
Justin Zimmerman
