Rest in Peace, Mrs. Cheryl Sprague - Linsly

Beginning her tenure at Linsly as a member of the upper school English faculty in 1984, Cheryl was named Upper School Academic Dean and Linsly's first female administrator when co-education returned to Linsly in the fall of 1988. In that position, Cheryl played an integral role in Linsly's shift back to co-education, easing the transition for Linsly's female students.

Ultimately named Dean of the Upper School, Mrs. Sprague led with characteristic kindness and grace until her retirement in 2015. In addition to her administrative role, throughout her career at Linsly, Cheryl also served as an assistant to the librarian, as a dorm parent, as an assistant track coach, and as yearbook advisor.

The Linsly School sends its deepest condolences to Cheryl's husband and longtime Linsly faculty member, Gary, and their three children: Don ('89), Doug ('92), and Jaclyn ('95).
