Dennis Hon, 1948 - 2025
Linsly mourns the recent passing of Dennis Hon, who taught mathematics at our school for nearly forty years.
Known for his exceptional teaching and his ability to relate to his students regardless of their capacity for mathematics, Denny was remarkable in his ability to instruct not only those who were mathematically gifted but also those with less mathematical prowess.
Through his tenure at The Linsly School, Denny provided a firm foundation in mathematics to hundreds of students while simultaneously helping to elevate the Linsly mathematics department.
Mr. Hon passed on December 15, 2025. The Linsly School sends its deepest condolences to Denny’s wife, Martha, and their children: Kara (’92) and Derek (’95).
