(Friendships That Last a Lifetime)

Parents of Linsly boarding students frequently comment on the strong relationships their sons and daughters enjoy. An evening spent on our campus affirms this idea.

Across our campus students are enjoying the benefits of our "intentional community," a neighborhood built of young people coming from families whose educational values are held in common. A group of students working on a project for English class, some students reviewing for tomorrow's calculus test, a teacher offering editorial advice over her kitchen table, all these are common signs of a vibrant learning community.

But in every instance there is something more than learning taking place. Students are forming relationships that will last a lifetime. They are learning to work successfully with and respect others. They are learning how to relate to faculty members, how to establish mentors, and how to contribute to a community.

Additionally, Linsly's diverse, multicultural community allows students to grow through their exposure to people whose cultural background is often very different from their own.
