Fall Athletics 2021

Athletics continue to be a critical part of the overall educational experience at Linsly.  For an adolescent, much can be gained from the experiences of success and failure in sports.  Learning that teamwork, communication, and accountability are needed for team success is a lesson that can’t be learned too soon.  Sports at Linsly also provide our students a way to stay active, have fun and compete at a high level.

It was nice to open the school year and the fall season on time with minimal restrictions or scheduling changes as it pertained to high school athletics.  All of our teams were able to practice and compete, and spectators were welcome to attend and cheer on our athletes.

We enjoyed much success over the fall season, including claiming an OVAC Championship in Girls’ Soccer.  Congratulations to all of our fall athletes and coaches.

Many thanks to everyone behind the scenes who works hard so that these athletes can stay healthy and safe, compete and have fun.  Our school nurses, athletic trainers, food service, bus drivers and maintenance staff don’t get the credit they deserve.

At this time, we want to take an opportunity to publicly celebrate our fall athletes, share some comments from our coaches and recognize the special award winners for each sport.
