Important End-of-the-Year Announcements

Here's the latest updates on what you need to know concerning plans for the remainder of the school year.
Locker Clean-Out
5th through 11th graders — On Thursday, May 21, or Friday, May 22, you will be able to clean out your lockers and return any items to school. The school is working to assign times to each student so that we will be able to maintain social distancing guidelines. Look for more information next week.
Upper School Course Registration
Upper school course registration for the 2020-2021 school year will be available online beginning Monday, May 11th.  More information will be posted at this time next week.
Upper School Year-end Schedule Rotation
Upper School students should follow the updated schedule rotation for May 15, 18, and 19.  On May 20th there is time scheduled by subject for teachers to meet via Zoom with students who may have final questions. (Note: This does not apply to seniors as their last class day is Wednesday, May 13th). Download the revised May schedule that reflects these changes here: May 2020update.pdf. This is also available through the link on the main page of our website (
Middle School Year-end Schedule
Regular classes for middle school will end on Thursday, May 14. Students and teachers will participate in virtual reflections via Zoom May 18-20 as scheduled by their grade level team leaders.
Last Day of School
The last official day of school for students in 5th through 11th grade will be Wednesday, May 20. After that point in time, no late work will be accepted unless a teacher specifically grants an exception prior to May 20, 2020 (which we realize may be necessary for some circumstances). If students know they will need additional time to complete work, they should contact their teacher(s) as soon as possible.
Class of 2020 Graduation
Commencement exercises for the Class of 2020 will be postponed until Saturday, July 25 (Sunday, July 26, rain date). We have every intention to celebrate the Class of 2020 with an outdoor graduation ceremony* on Linsly’s campus. Time is to be determined.
*Social distancing guidelines may limit the number of attendees and the format for the ceremony.
We are disappointed to share that prom for the Spring of 2020 has been canceled. Linsly is hoping to be able to host a senior and parent reception and dinner before Graduation on July 25 (if social distancing guidelines make this possible). We regret that more students will not be able to participate in prom this year.
Summer Day Camp
Linsly’s Summer Day Camp has been canceled for the summer of 2020. This camp has traditionally employed a number of current Linsly students, and we regret that we will not be able to hold camp this summer.
