This decision reflects our mission since 1814 to serve the local community by providing an exceptional educational experience rooted in foundational learning, character, and leadership.

The current market cannot sustain the old price structure. Fewer than 2% of local families can pay full tuition currently, and we want Linsly to remain accessible to talented students throughout the region.

The tuition reset is made possible by the strong philanthropic momentum behind the School’s Forward Together capital campaign and the generosity of Linsly alumni and friends. In recent years, this support has expanded endowed, need-based financial aid, opening doors for talented and deserving students.

The Board of Trustees has prioritized affordability as a strategic imperative and believes this is the right moment to take a bold, forward-looking step. 

Continued investment from alumni and supporters will be essential to sustaining this progress, ensuring that Linsly can meet the full cost of an exceptional education while extending access to students who will benefit most from a Linsly experience.

No. Most importantly, the Linsly experience your child receives will not change. Your child will continue to benefit from a rigorous college-preparatory education rooted in character, leadership, and strong foundational learning skills, now at a slightly reduced tuition level.

This reset also provides greater predictability and long-term affordability for families as they plan for their child’s education at Linsly.

Yes. Families receiving aid will also see lower prices next year. Moving forward, Linsly will begin using an Indexed Tuition Model, which ensures that tuition is aligned with each family’s financial circumstances.

Boarding tuition will also see reductions. Linsly currently offers one of the most affordable and accessible boarding programs among comparable college-preparatory boarding schools nationwide.

We expect stronger interest from families across local, national, and international communities. Increased demand allows Linsly to continue growing, innovating, and offering a wide range of academic and extracurricular opportunities.
