Introducing Mr. Barnett
The Linsly community welcomes Mr. Chad Barnett, who began his tenure as Head of School on August 1, 2009. Mr. Barnett, formerly served as Linsly’s Director of Admissions, and was appointed Headmaster of Linsly School by the Board of Trustees after a nation wide selection process started in September of 2008.

Mr. Barnett brings 14 years of experience as an educator and administrator at Linsly where he has served in numerous positions at the school ranging from intern, English teacher, basketball and soccer coach, dormitory master, Director of Summer School and Director of Admissions.

A graduate of Bethany College, Barnett has received the NAIS Edward E. Ford Fellowship award for Emerging Leaders,  is a published scholar with another forthcoming article in the Philosophical Studies in Education, and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership through the University of Pittsburgh where he serves as a Teaching Fellow at the School of Education teaching a graduate level course called Education and Society.

Mr. Barnett and his wife, Kristie, reside on campus in Coudon Hall.
The Headmaster's Blog
Frequently, Mr. Barnett will offer commentary and analysis on topics relevant to the Linsly community--from everyday parenting issues to philosophical comments about the school. The blog will welcome comments from parents and other members of the Linsly community, with the purpose of providing a structured online discussion forum. Read the blog here.
